Silk is part of the Valencian soul, the essence of our land, but it also carries in its DNA the heritage of all the civilisations with which we have been connected throughout history.

During FESTÍN València, we propose an experience that unites heritage and gastronomy: a tour of the Silk Museum, followed by a tasting inspired by the flavours of the world that have marked this millenary fabric.

The guided tour, led by Global Menta, takes us into the legacy of silk over the centuries: from its origin in ancient China, through its arrival in the Peninsula by the hand of the Islamic world, to its consolidation in Valencia thanks to the Italian technique and French aesthetics. A history woven with influences that gave rise to a style of its own, internationally recognised and admired.

After a tour of this building steeped in history, Espai Seda offers a four-course tasting: a journey of flavours that evokes the cultures that have marked the silk route. From the oriental touch to the Arabian nuance, passing through French delicacies, and culminating with a purely Valencian proposal: a mouthful that tastes of home, of essence, of silk.
